Serving and advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities so they may achieve independence and self-sufficiency.
Arc in the news    NEWS JOURNAL     MYTOPIACAFE
The Arc of Volusia was chartered by the State of Florida on March 23, 1962.  The Arc of Volusia serves approximately 250 Volusia County adults with developmental disabilities everyday.  Our Deland and Daytona Beach training centers each serve about 100 individuals and feature Adult Day Training Level I, a self-help skill acquisition program for individuals with intense needs, Adult Day Training Level II, which includes work skill development and sheltered workshop programs, and Community Inclusion, a small group community participation program.  Additionally, our Supported Employment and Supported Living programs which emphasize individuals integrating into the community at competitive job sites and in their own homes serve a combined fifty participants.  We are an agency with over fifty employees and an annual budget of approximately $2 million.  Funding comes via the State of Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities, the County of Volusia, the United Way Volusia-Flagler Counties, Arc of Volusia membership and fund raising events, and many social and civic clubs.
