Senior Manager, James Moore & Co., CPA’s and Consultants. Mike was born in Burlington, Vermont and now resides in Ormond Beach. He is married with two sons, Noah and Jacob. He is Senior Manager at James Moore & Co., CPA’s and Consultants in Daytona Beach. Educational background includes Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and Minor in Computer Science. Organizations involved with are Volusia Manufacturers Association, The Arc of Volusia, and mentor in the Take Stock in Children program. Hobbies include golf, basketball, and sports.
Past Chairperson: Deborah Quackenbush, Past New York Legislator
Deborah is currently the Senior Vice President of Virtual Learning for the Raydon Corporation providing leadership in the area of virtual learning concepts for its education, military and commercial products. She resides in Port Orange. Deborah has dedicated an entire career to training and education. Today she is working with US Veteran Administration’s Poly Trauma Hospitals on a standard of care for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury. Finding ways to identify and treat, and how to provide a transition to activities of daily living through the use of simulation. She is an active member of the National Academy of Sciences, Transportation Research Board, member and contributor to the American Driver & Traffic Safety Education Association, member of the ARC in Broome County, New York and still attends developmental meetings several times during the year. Her brother John is a client of the ARC in Broome County, New York. Ms. Quackenbush was also a distinguished legislator in New York State having been elected and served in public office for eight years. Deborah loves golfing, reading and checking things off her “bucket” list!

First Vice President Wealth Management Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Adam graduated from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida with a B.S. and major course work in finance and a concentration in investments. Adam and his wife, Dana, with their children Courtney, Christopher, and Caitlin, are building their lives together in the Ormond Beach area. Adam is employed at the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney office of Ormond Beach where he is the team leader of the Everest Group. Everest Group is a team of four financial advisors with over 127 years of experience among them. Hobbies: golf and reading.

Preston Root, N.R.E.M.T, Daytona State College
Preston Root has lived in Volusia / Flagler Counties his entire life and attended school in Volusia through his degree at Daytona State College. He has spent 26 years in communications. Sarting at WNDB am1150 and now working for MRN Radio, America’s largest independent radio network. Preston considers himself a lifelong radio man. Deeply committed to the well being of this area’s non-profit community, Preston has served on the Board of Directors for the YMCA, Museum of Arts and Science, and the Community Foundation. Preston has been on the Arc board for 6 years, and co-chairs their visionary capital campaign.
Preston is a graduate of Daytona State College as an Emergency Medical Technician. He also attended DSC for Mechanical Draftting. He now works as a pit reporter for MRN Radio, “The Voice of NASCAR”.

Learning and making significant contributions to themselves, their classmates and this wonderful area we all live in. Together we can set the new standard for opportunity for developmentally disabled people by teaching them to be an educated, contributing member of our area”.
