At the Arc of Volusia, friends and family make the difference in more ways than one.

One of The Arc’s core values is the nurturing of the relationships it enjoys with friends and family.  It is our foundational belief that just as friendships bloom through care and nurture in our personal lives, so too The Arc’s friendships bloom when we take care in building lasting relationships with our friends.  We understand that when our friends help us build a sustainable relationship out of genuine care and concern, each party involved is there for the benefit of each other and therefore, our community is represented and reaps the benefits.

While The Arc cannot thrive without the volunteering and financial support of its close friends, we always work to ensure that we have the ‘horse before the cart.’  When our friendships come first, our friends find themselves looking for opportunities to put their time, talent and treasure into the care and support of our consumers.
