Adult Day Training IServes individuals with severe or multiple needs. Individuals may require assistance ambulating, attending to personal care, or may require behavioral management. Individual program Plans are developed in conjunction with the individual and significant people involved in their life. Training is designed to assist individuals, develop skills in the area of self-care, communication, social-leisure-daily living skills, and development of fine/gross motor skills.
Adult Day Training II & WorkshopServes individuals who are independently mobile and capable of self-care. This program emphasizes transitional and vocational skills required to perform a variety of activities. Individual Program Plans are developed for each person and on-site Adult Basic Education classes sponsored by Daytona Beach Community College are available. Individuals in the vocational component of this program (Workshop) perform finishing work for area businesses and are paid according to Department of Labor Standards.
Community InclusionServes Adult Day Training I and II individuals desiring small group (two to three people) community outings of their choices. Individuals participate on a rotating basis and work with a coach to plan and partake in half day community outings.
Supported Employment Follow AlongServes individuals employed in the community by providing job site coaching. Coaches assist individuals, maintain stable employment, develop skills for advancement, and ensure individuals obtain benefits consistent with those provided to co-workers. Coaches also provide crisis intervention and may assist individuals locate new employment if termination or lay off occurs.
Supported Independent LivingServes individuals wanting to live in their own community apartment or home. Coaches assist individuals in locating homes, establishing housekeeping, cooking and budgeting skills, and establishing community resources and connections. In addition to regular visits, coaches are on-call 24 hours a day.
Support CoordinationOur Support Coordinators (Social Workers) link the agency with families and care providers. Assistance is provided to help individuals become acquainted with services and to resolve concerns and conflicts. Our Support Coordinators provide case management services to those individuals attending our training programs receiving state of Florida General Revenue funding and provide on-site coordination services for ARC Volusia participants receiving state of Florida Medicaid Waiver funding. Serving and advocating for individuals with developmental disabilities so they may achieve independence and self-sufficiency.
